Are my files uploaded when I split a PDF?
No. The PDF is opened and split inside your browser on your own device. Nothing is sent to any server, so even private documents stay completely on your computer the whole time.
What is the difference between the two modes?
Every N pages breaks the file into equal chunks, such as one PDF for every five pages. Custom ranges lets you define each output, for example 1-3 and 4-8 become two separate files.
How are several files delivered?
If your split produces one file it downloads as a single PDF. If it produces more, they are bundled into one split.zip so you get everything in a single download.
Is there a page or size limit?
There is no fixed limit. The work happens in your browser, so the only real constraint is the memory available on your device for very large files.
